Surrogacy Process

About Surrogacy

Surrogacy is an arrangement between the intended parents and a surrogate where one woman agrees to carry a baby to term and deliver it for another woman. It can be a complex and emotionally taxing process for all parties involved, but Surrogacy And Adoption made the process as simple as possible. We are with you from start to finish. This can be an ideal option for couples suffering from infertility and have not been able to conceive using fertility techniques such as IUI, ICSI or IVF. It can allow an individual that thought they could never become a parent to get the chance once and for all. Going through the procedures requires everyone to be well-informed about what to expect. Surrogacy And Adoption is there to support all parties involved in the process, and are here to answer any questions you may have.

Gestational Surrogacy is a good choice if:

  • You have a medical condition that makes it impossible or dangerous to carry a child
  • You’ve had experiences with loss
  • You or your partner suffers from some type of infertility which cannot be overcome by the other methods of conception such as in vitro fertilization or artificial insemination
  • You’ve tried the common methods of conception including icsi, IUI or in vitro fertilization without success
  • Adoption isn’t an option or alternative for you for finances, a desire to have a biological connection to the child or whatever other reason applies to your circumstances

Once you’ve settled on surrogacy as your path to a family, you’ll need to decide which type of surrogate pregnancy you wish to pursue:

Gestational Surrogacy

Gestational surrogacy occurs when the mother’s egg and father’s sperm are combined through the process of IVF and implanted into the surrogate mother until she gives birth. She is referred to as the birth mother, while the mother who donated the egg is the biological mother. This technology gives individuals the opportunity to become a parent when other methods have failed.

Traditional Surrogacy

Traditional surrogacy involves using the surrogate’s egg with a donor or the father’s sperm to create a baby. The baby is biologically related to the surrogate in this case. This is not as commonly used as gestational surrogacy because it creates additional legal issues with the surrogate being biologically related to the child.
